Laura Modi is the cofounder and C.E.O. of Bobbie, the only female-founded and mom-led organic infant formula company in the United States and fastest growing new entrant since the ’80s. Today, she’s a mother of three and was first inspired to start Bobbie when she found herself in a drugstore as a first-time mom, holding a screaming infant, fighting a fever brought on by mastitis, desperate for formula. Each label left her disappointed, so she decided to do something about it.
Armed with a bold mission to build a parenting culture of confidence, not comparison, Modi sought to uncomplicate infant formula with a European-inspired recipe featuring organic, grass-fed milk from pasture-raised cows and an emphasis on what’s left out (no corn syrup, filler, palm oil or judgment).
Prior to Bobbie, Modi worked at Airbnb as director of host operations, shepherding the company’s international expansion and leading their global host community. Previously, she worked at Google Finance focusing on data and analytics.
Originally from Ireland, Modi lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and three children, Mary, Colin and Owen.
